I am currently working at Verv Technologies as a biochemist and QA lead. Duties include assisting in the development of electrochemical assays to be used with the Vi analyzer. Duties specific to the electrochemical assay development include running electrochemical tests with various potentiostats, 3D printing medical device components, solution preparation, and development/optimization of an analyte test. QA duties include the implementation of a QMS that satisfies the requirements of ISO 13485:2016 and regulatory requirements of various countries. This duty involves organization and applicable action of quality events, implementation of SOPs and record generation for future audits, and document control of all records/documents related and non-related to the QMS.

Worked as a lab technologist in the Verv Technologies lab, assisting in the development of various electrochemical assays that will be commercially available to use with the Vi analyzer. Duties specific to the electrochemical assay development include sample preparation, assay setup (functional group adhesion, cross-linking, and enzyme deposition), solution preparation, and assisting with experimental design and research. Other duties in the lab include chip preparation for further digital microfluidic testing of various solutions for the development of the analyzer.

Worked as a lab technologist in the NEOMO/Vale/Glencore mobile lab, testing for the presence of the novel virus COVID-19. Duties include collection of COVID-19 samples from the nurse, processing (ID verification and random number labelling), aliquoting, RNA extraction, and detection of COVID-19 by RT-qPCR and/or molecular point-of-care testing (ID NOW). Administration duties include using PS Suite Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to track patients who have been swabbed, attach lab requisition with results to patient’s file, and email a clearance letter/results to the appropriate patient. An additional administration duty is to email all sample results to OLIS (Ontario Laboratories Information System) daily.

Assisted in the laboratory setting for both first year general chemistry and third year biochemistry courses. Duties included answering student's questions, preparation for lab experiments, and supervision. Additionally, lab reports were graded and logged for general chemistry, organic chemistry, and biochemistry courses.

Duties included grass cutting, installing/removing signs, water testing, repairing taps, and brushing to benefit the appearance of the park. Supervisor duties included planning daily tasks for five students, ensuring proper use of PPE, ensuring safety measures were being followed, training the students on various pieces of equipment, and training the students on regulations such as construction project signage on or near a roadway.
