I am a director of Torquay Watersports. Under my stewardship we have established an RYA Training School, RIB Rides, Boat Charters and Watersports.Our flagship vessel is our 12m Raptor RIB Ride.Our RYA training school is the heart of the business offering both theory and practical courses along with own boat tuition and ICC certifications.Situated within Torbay we cover areas stretching to Dartmouth and Salcombe as well as Teignmouth and Exmouth.I have 10 years experience successfully running and growing my own hotel business, achieving an annual turnover of half a million pounds, making a respectable profit and employing up to 12 people. Under my stewardship the hotel and restaurant grew, improved and I am confident that having sold it, I left it in a significantly better place than I found it! Before becoming a hotelier, I served in the Royal Navy, specialising in warfare; running the Operations Rooms of Air Defence Destroyers and Aircraft Carriers. As well as being a leader and and administrator I was required to become and expert in Tactical Data Links and Radars and have a working knowledge Radio, Electronic Warfare and Communications.
