I am a values-driven and passionate educator with twenty years experience in education and nonprofit administration. I believe that all students have the capacity to realize their goals and that teachers are leaders. I am committed to designing and fostering education spaces in which all, and especially Black and brown, students and teachers thrive and their voices are truly heard. As a curriculum and program designer, I center relationship-building and social-emotional well being. I am also skilled at developing curriculum grounded in deeper learning skills, as well as project-based and constructivist learning. As an instructional leader, I design professional development environments that foster teacher reflection and growth. I believe in meeting students, teachers, and those I manage where they are, while helping them realize their fullest potential. As a nonprofit leader, I am strategic, as well as innovative. I am able to see the big picture, while anticipating and solving for potential challenges. I excel in situations where I can problem-solve, innovate, design and collaborate.
