School Sport Australia National Hockey Advisor - This volunteer role has oversight of both the SSA 12 & Under and 15 & Under Girls and Boys Hockey Championships, as well as the All Australian Teams that are selected each year. Each year, I work with the School Sport Unit of the host state of the championships to ensure that all requirements are met, both educationally and hockey wise for both age groups.I liaise with Hockey Australia to get support and personnel to attend the 15’s Championships, to assist in the selection of the All Australian teams and to provide professional learning for the (teacher) state team coaches as well as an information session for parents. As National Hockey Advisor, I was Tour Leader for the SSA All Australian Boys and Girls teams that travelled to South Africa in July 2018 and to Europe in 2019 to play in the 4 Nations Whitsun Tournament in Germany. I also participated in the Europe Tour in 2017 as the All Australian Girls' Team Manager.Within School Sport Australia, I am a member of the National Sport Advisor Group, the Championship Budgets & Risk Management Plans Review Committee and the International Programs Committee.Prior to my National role, I was involved with State School Sport Boys and Girls Hockey Teams from both the Northern Territory and South Australia for 16 years as Team Coach, Manager or Tour Manager. I have also been Convenor for 4 SSA National Hockey Championships.
