In Peace Farm, we aim to move forward as a benefit corporation in the future. The origin of Peace Farm starts from a visit to Vietnam orphanages back in 2019. During the visit, we learned that the orphanage was often suffering from a lack of resources. Moreover, the orphans that left at 18 usually did not have enough educational support for high-income jobs, a lot of them went the tragic path of being criminals. A picture started to form in our mind, "What if the orphanage can make use of the land they own to live a sufficient life, both physically and mentally?"Due to the pandemic, we cannot realize our vision in Vietnam. Luckily, we found a farmland in Fanling which was a great testing point. By developing the land into a place which includes 1. Farming - providing food, 2. I have developed the first virtual career fair in AIESEC with almost zero budget that attracted around 200 students in 1 month thus creating a crisis management framework and strategies to combat COVID-19 uncertainties. Our team collaborated with corporate partners like Apple and Cyberport, as well as overseas AIESEC entities to enhance the business development network and scope out internship opportunities.
