My childhood set me up for hospitality. Both my grandmothers were gardeners, entertainers and understood the importance of the earth and farmers. I started with Marriott hotels, #1 in hospitality.. Then I has a few weird jobs.. Then I got a cool gig at the Culinary Institute of America in the Napa Valley.. that set the next path for me. After a little time at a winery I came back to Seattle and set my sights on catering... I learned a lot from the 2 small companies I worked at... Then I found Bon Appetit Management Company... for the first time I had a career, not just a job... BAMCO allowed me to grow as a person, as a food advocate, as a manger and as a creator. A short stint with Homegrown gave me perspective on how to run a small company with brick & motor roots (way different from contract food service). Now as the Chief Cupcake Officer with Cupcake Royale, I will get to use all I have learned along the way to take a 20 year old company to the next level.
