• Oversee all aspects of the Familiar Faces Intensive Care Management Team, a collaboration between Harborview Medical Center, Plymouth Housing Group & REACH known as Vital, to provide comprehensive services to adults experiencing homelessness and behavioral health challenges who have been repeatedly booked in the King County Jail.• Responsible for the clinical supervision of Vital Care Managers to ensure all client services are provided from a healing-centered harm reduction framework, utilizing Motivational Interviewing and aligned with trauma informed care principles. • Foster strong relationships and ongoing coordination with cross-sector community partners including Department of Public Defense, King County Prosecuting Attorney Office, Seattle City Attorney, and Seattle King County Public Health.

• Directed and managed all aspects of program development, implementation and evaluation using an anti-racist, pro-equity and collaborative decision-making approach. • Worked closely with Development Director to advise senior staff and board of directors on implementation of strategies to improve fiscal condition and strengthen capacity for growth. • Fostered working relationships with DOC and community stakeholders. Maintained understanding of DOC policies and laws impacting participants’ transitions from prison to academia.• Led the diverse Student Services staff, volunteers and MSW interns. • Function as a team lead to coordinate wrap around services for adjudicated and pre-trial individuals, diagnosed with mental illness and/or chemical dependency, to reduce recidivism.• Actively involved in the interdisciplinary treatment planning process by completing psychosocial assessments and providing community linkages to meet client needs. • Provide client and family education regarding client’s treatment and discharge planning needs while working closely with DSHS, Department of Adult and Juvenile Detention, Work Release, Drug Court, Mental Health Court, Probation, and Department of Corrections to ensure compliance and follow through.

• Design and implement streamlined organizational systems to manage databases, maintain records and increase productivity to ensure the highest quality of service received by clients.• Manage origination’s call center, tracking the success of individual callers and creating systematic protocols to ensure oral and written communications are efficient and client contact ratios are maximized.• Provide conceptual planning and design of varied print and web-based marketing materials.

• Inspected adult and youth prisons to monitor and report conditions of confinement. Met with incarcerated adults and youth to document concerns, collect stories and assess the effectiveness of prison policies.• Co-facilitated a six-month youth program, training formerly incarcerated LGBTQ youth to become community leaders in the movement for juvenile justice reform.• Coordinated and launched a campaign to raise the age of criminal responsibility in New York State. • Served on the Juvenile Justice Coalition planning public forums and policy briefings to promote a more fair, humane and effective youth justice. • Condensed government policies, procedures and data relating to conditions of confinement into succinct fact sheets and incorporated into testimony delivered to the New York Legislature and City Council.

• Provided psychosocial assessments, mental health screenings and treatment plans for indigent incarcerated adults using a culturally sensitive approach and employing cognitive behavioral techniques when necessary.• Provided written reports and sentencing alternative proposals to the courts as a means of advocacy for clients who experienced mental and physical health issues, substance abuse, homelessness and/or family history of abuse. • Exceled as an active liaison between the courts, attorneys, detention staff and social service agencies to provide timely and effective coordinated care for clients.• Devised and collected surveys from colleagues to evaluate the effectiveness of Seattle mental health courts. Analyzed data and presented findings as part of a qualitative study.
