Early in my career, when I worked as an operations manager, I had the opportunity to become involved in project work. Due to an organizational change, a project division was launched, and I quickly switched to business analyst. My goal was to move into project/product management as I had a natural talent for it. I successfully did that by becoming a product owner in January of 2018. Most recently, I assisted the organization with moving from Waterfall to Agile. I accomplished this without any formal training. Using the educational tools available, I quickly learned as much as possible to support the team. Together with the team, I delivered the first feature to the business stakeholders by April. Since then, I have taken formal training as well. • My background in business operations gives me keen insight into how technology can positively impact business processes to drive efficiency and productivity.• I am respected for delivering changes that are outside my ability and within a requested timeline. I know how to engage and collaborate with others to enhance my skill set to get the job done in these situations.• I’m the go-to person for all systems that support AD, BSA’s, audit, production, operations, and Lean methodologies. • I acutely understand the customer, bridging the language gap between technical and non-technical communication to ensure everyone has the same understanding in meeting business stakeholder goals.• I am inquisitive and open to new ideas, seeking out innovative approaches to solve yesterday’s problems with today’s technology.• I have exceptional collaboration, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, allowing me to gain trust and “influence without power” at all levels.• I deliver process improvement, automation, and cost savings. For example, I partnered with the business unit to address a $72k change to a process that produced a substantial ROI, including:o 40 hours per week savings in manual work assignments by moving to self-driving for employees.o 20 hours per week savings by system prioritizing date calculations, improving users ability to perform daily tasks faster within compliance guidelines.o 80 hours per week savings by consolidating two workflow systems.o 56 hour per week savings by unbundling images allowing for an automated servicing system. It’s my goal to take on larger scale initiatives and continue growing as a Product Owner so I can increase my value to the organization.
