  • Dance Fairies
    Founder & Creator
Dance Fairies Jun 2018 - Present
    Boerne, Texas, United States
We often learn about humanity through listening to, watching, reading, and responding to the art we see in our everyday lives. However, dance does something else, it enables people to tell their stories, boost their confidence and sense of acceptance. My love and passion for dance and recognition that not all children have access to proper dancewear inspired me with the idea of creating Dance Fairies, an internationally recognized nonprofit organization that collects gently used dance costumes for aspiring young dancers in need. After countless performances, costumes usually end up in our closets, taking up space and collecting dust. This is where the Dance Fairies idea comes in! I recognized an opportunity to unite a community of dancers and create something remarkable. Leveraging today's technology and social media, I used my voice to connect with thousands of like-minded young people who share the same passion. The response was overwhelming! Over the course of our five-year journey, Dance Fairies has collected and distributed more than 40,000 dance costumes, bringing smiles to the faces of over 6,000 children. Our 'reuse and reduce' efforts not only positively impact aspiring dancers but also contribute to the global effort to reduce waste in our landfills. In addition to this, to multiply my efforts, in 2020, I introduced the Dance Fairies' Ambassadors program and offered a chance to young teenagers across the world to get involved in something they are genuinely passionate about. As a result, today, I am leading a team of 106 devoted and driven ambassadors. It is truly inspiring to know that people from all over the world believe in Dance Fairies' mission and are helping create magical moments for many children, both near and far. Surrounded by like-minded people who share and support my vision, I feel blessed to help children in need, especially those in Ukraine today, and to witness how much joy something as simple as a dance costume can give them.

  • Delta Zeta Sorority
    Social Events Coordinator
Delta Zeta Sorority Jan 2023 - Jan 2024
    College Station, Texas, United States
In my freshman year, I joined the Delta Zeta chapter at Texas A&M University and wasted no time in taking on a leadership role. As the Social Events Coordinator for DZ, I organize large-scale gatherings, hosting anywhere from 200 to 400 attendees. These events held significant importance for our organization as they not only provide opportunities for social engagement but also serve as a platform for fostering connections and collaboration with various other student organizations within the university. The role of a Social Events Coordinator was a delicate balance between excitement and challenge, but it allowed me to develop and apply a diverse skill set encompassing organization, attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to orchestrate complex events.
  • Delta Zeta Sorority
Songfest Head Chair For Delta Zeta
Delta Zeta Sorority May 2023 - Nov 2023
    College Station, Texas, United States
This year, I had the immense honor of serving as the Head Chair of the 2023 Songfest for Delta Zeta at Texas A&M University. Songfest stands as the largest Greek philanthropy dance performance event that brings together the incredible spirit and energy of Texas A&M students. What sets this event apart is not just the pursuit of glory but the chance to make a tangible impact by raising funds for our chosen philanthropies. Delta Zeta's unwavering support is directed towards the Starkey Hearing Foundation, an organization that has given the incredible gift of hearing to nearly 1.5 million people worldwide. We are so lucky to be partnered with the Aggie Club of Engineers (ACE), which is rallying behind Camp Hope, a foundation that connects combat veterans with vital resources during their transition to civilian life. For more than five months, I've poured my heart and soul into this project, leaving no stone unturned and carefully selecting costumes, props, perfect songs, stage effects, meticulously crafted soundtracks, cutting music and editing movie scenes. For me, this wasn't just an event; it was a labor of love and a whole lot of passionate young spirits committed to changing lives. Choreographing an 8-minute dance performance involving 120 participants is no small feat, but it is a challenge I embraced with enthusiasm. My commitment extended beyond the creative aspects. I also undertook the crucial responsibility of meticulous budgeting for this project. The process of negotiating with multiple vendors to secure the costumes and essential resources proved to be an invaluable experience, one that significantly deepened my understanding of the intricacies involved in planning, fundraising, and negotiation. As we took the stage on October 19th of 2023, I saw it as an incredible opportunity to continue my vision of sharing the love of dance and to support the remarkable and life-changing work undertaken by the Starkey Hearing Foundation and Camp Hope.
