I undertake research in the areas of tropical and temperate marine ecosystems for the past 20 years. I specialise in the environmental monitoring of water quality and eutrophication and the provision of regulatory advice on eutrophication. I have been the project manager for a number of national and international research programs relating to the fate and consequences of human activity and pollutants on freshwater, coastal and offshore marine waters, establishing links between the freshwater zone and marine systems, and coastal zone management.

Manage large scale water quality programs. Lead research programs looking at the impacts of water quality on coastal systems of the GBR. Manage and lead a small team of scientists on water quality and environmental assessments projects.
