As a Patient Access Clinician at Newport Healthcare, I provide clinical assessments and evaluations for adolescents and young adults seeking mental health treatment. I collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of therapists, psychiatrists, and case managers to determine the appropriate level of care and facilitate admissions to Newport's residential and outpatient programs.I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master of Social Work from Fordham University and a Bachelor Degree in Psychology from Southern Connecticut State University. I have over seven years of experience working in mental health and co-occurring disorders with diverse populations and settings. I am certified in EMDR therapy (as well as a Consultant in Training) and skilled in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I have a passion for helping individuals and families overcome trauma, addiction, and other challenges, and achieve their goals and well-being.
