Engineering/Design Responsibilities:• Perform field investigations• Perform preliminary and detailed engineering design• Present concept design in presentations to design teams and clients• Create existing, demolition, and new work floor plans• Create equipment schedules, details, and control schematics• Perform heating and cooling load calculations with TraneTrace software• Model baseline and proposed buildings (and systems) for LEED NC• Create ductwork, chilled water piping, heating water piping, and plumbing layouts• Perform static pressure calculations, ventilation calculations, pump head calculations, VAV and FPB reheat calculations• Prepare cost estimates• Coordinate design work with other disciplines• Write design narratives documenting existing conditions, load calculations, energy analysis, and proposed systemsDesign Experience:• Variable air volume systems• Constant volume systems• Vehicle exhaust systems• Ground source heat pump modeling • Hydronic systems (boiler and chiller systems)• Cooling tower systems• Equipment selection and preliminary specifications• Life Cycle Cost Analysis• Sound Calculations for STC rated rooms• ASHRAE 90.1 Energy standards, including Appendix G Energy Analysis• ASHRAE 62.1 Ventilation standards• NFPA standards• LEED design and documentation for Building Design and Construction (BD+C)• LEED design and documentation for Interior Design and Construction (ID+C)• Construction Administration tasks (RFI responses, Specification Revisions, Submittal Reviews, Construction Meetings, Coordination Drawings)Software Expertise:• Microsoft Office applications• Autocad• Microstation• TRANE TRACE 700• GLHEPRO for Geothermal systems• Building Life Cycle Cost Analysis software (BLCCA)• SolidWorks• CAPS Equipment Selection Software• Titus Teams Equipment Selection Software
