- I participated in the summer study abroad program with the University System of Georgia Goes Global with its program located at the University College of London in central London. - The program includes students from colleges and universities across the state of Georgia. - Students began their coursework online in May completing some assignments prior to arriving in London.- I taught two classes: Principles of Public Speaking (14 students) and Public Relations Crisis Communication (11 students). Students attended classes two days a week (Monday & Thursday) and attended field trips one day a week (Tuesdays morning classes have field trips, Wednesdays the afternoon classes).- The public speaking class visited locations including the Tower of London, a "Harry Potter" walking tour and the Science Museum (where they were placed in groups and given a topic to develop a 3-5 minute group speech for the next class period).- The public relations crisis communication class visited the Museum of Brands, Advertising & Packaging, the Churchill War Rooms, and participated in a Royal London walk. The class also had guest speakers from DragonBridge Communications join one afternoon.
