The Ngāi Tahu Māori Rock Art Trust is a tribal not-for-profit organisation set up to support local Runanga (Māori Regional Councils) in the care, management and celebration of the 700+ rock art sites within Te Waipounamu / South Island. The Trust operates the Te Ana Ngāi Tahu Rock Art Centre in Timaru. The Trust manages the tribal rock art survey and recording programme, SIMRAP (the South Island Maori Rock Art Project) – creating a permanent record of this ancestral legacy, and a vital foundation for the protection, management and conservation work undertaken by the Trust.

TRoW is a Ngai Tahu organisation (on of 11 Papatipu Runanga) charged with distributing the putea whaka mahi (annual endowment) to its members through cultural and social initiatives. The board must oversee this process and the growth and development of the people and the organisation infrustructure and capital assets. As well as being a part of this governance board I led the project to amend the constitutive documents and the board during my tenure worked to streamline communications, promote transparency and initiatives for the Kaumatua.
