Michelle Hellman began her career 26 years ago working in Fashion PR & Special Events. Michelle specializes in event curation, partnerships, launch strategy, PR strategy, VIP relations and the engagement of contemporary art with fashion, entertainment, non-profit, lifestyle and consumer culture.Michelle is a partner at the Chelsea art gallery, A Hug from the Art World and Founder/Curator of Artist Plate Project to benefit the Coalition for the Homeless. The project has partnered with over 100 world renowned artists to create limited edition dinner plates. The project, conceived out of Covid, has raised over 7 million dollars to date.Over the years Michelle has worked with a diverse roster of clients in the fashion, luxury, and art spaces including executing successful projects, events and campaigns for Art Production Fund, The Cultivist, Free Arts NYC, The Brant Foundation, Kasmin Gallery, Museum of Arts & Design, Vogue, Fendi, Paddle8, ArtBinder, Coalition for the Homeless’s ArtWalk Benefit, NADA Art Fair, New Museum, Maria Baibakova, Museum of Modern Art, Vanity Fair, J.Crew, Tory Burch, Banana Republic, Gap, Montblanc, Arcadia Group, and Van Cleef & Arpels. She has worked on philanthropic projects with artists such as Lawrence Weiner, Tom Sachs, Katherine Bernhardt, Rashid Johnson, Taryn Simon, Scott Campbell, Richard Phillips and Mr. Brainwash.Prior to starting her consultancy, she held agency positions as Vice President of Fashion and Luxury at Mission PR, and also served in house in the PR Department at Banana Republic for 11 years.Active with several charitable organizations in New York City. She lives in Manhattan with her husband and two children.
