In my current national role, I focus on developing innovative systems to optimize the delivery and ongoing quality improvement of supportive and survivorship care. I have championed solutions for supportive care barriers through development of evidence-based precision models and leveraging design principles. With a wealth of experience and knowledge, I bring significant expertise to my work. Additionally, I have built a broad network of collaborators, including oncology-based physicians, APPs, nurses, nurse navigators, social workers, psychiatrists, allied health professionals, cancer center leaders, company founders, and patient advocates. My skills include patient-reported outcomes, metrics, customized EPIC tools, Learning Health System concepts, and implementation science in clinical environments.I currently serve as the Director of Program Development for the Cancer Survivorship Provider Network (CSPN), the only survivorship-focused organization linking healthcare professionals, researchers, and cancer advocacy leaders nationwide. CSPN’s online community provides educational programming, networking sessions, and working groups to create national resources for improving supportive care. I am also the Clinical Lead and Director of the Medical Advisory Board at OneVillage, a virtual supportive care platform. With over 30 years of clinical experience as a nurse and nurse practitioner, I have specialized training in ICU, cardiac, interventional pulmonology, and survivorship care. I joined the University of Cincinnati Cancer Center Survivorship Program in April 2016 as the first dedicated survivorship provider and served as Director of Program Development for Survivorship and Supportive Services until September 2023. I cared for a diverse cancer population in the Consultative Survivorship Clinic and played a key role in creating the Neuro-Oncology Survivorship Clinic and the Cancer Cognitive Clinic. I am a member of the Cancer Related Cognitive Impairment Collaborative through the National Cancer Institute.I served on the Biden Moonshot National Survivorship Standards Expert Panel in 2023 and am currently a Cancer X mentor for several companies developing private solutions for supportive care. I have spoken at numerous conferences on building survivorship programs and continue to lead national efforts to build infrastructure for high-quality survivorship and supportive care. I serve on the survivorship committee for the Academy of Oncology & Patient Navigators and the American College of Lifestyle Medicine’s cancer-focused group.
