Legal Assistant to one attorney who handles a variety of litigation matters in state and federal court. We do PI Plaintiff, Defense, Probate Litigation, Contract Disputes. My responsibilities include drafting pleadings, discovery, correspondence, reviewing and summarizing medical records and deposition summaries. I have also assisted with trial preparation. I handle the firm's payroll and A/P and A/R, (Quickbooks) and order supplies and do other administrative duties for the office as needed.

Administer and run the office, schedule the routes, monthly billing, handle administrative scheduling and training, handle any client issues.

I transcribe oral history interviews for various oral history projects. Preserving our history is so very important. Preserving it in the words of those who were there and experienced it is in my opinion one of the very best ways to experience a piece of our history. I have typed over 150 transcripts in the 7 years I have been doing transcription. The interviews I have transcribed includes interviews for civil rights, women's rights, local business, music, American Indians, Holocaust, World War II and many, many more. No matter the subject matter I take special attention to research the names, places and any terminology to ensure they are spelled correctly.

Catlin is a Medical Malpractice Insurance Company. I came to assist the In House Counsel (who I previously worked with at a law firm) to set up the claims department. My responsibilities included receiving new claims, verifying insurance coverage, setting up files, corresponding with counsel hired to represent our insured among countless other duties. I left in 2007 after the birth of my child.
