Santa Barbara Winery was founded by my father, Pierre Lafond, in 1962 while our Lafond label was first released in 1996. SB Winery was the first winery in Santa Barbara County post-Prohibition.I am responsible for all sales and marketing statewide, out of state and out of the country. We currently have wine in approximately 40 states as well as Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, Germany, Canada, Japan, China and Korea.I am lucky enough to have the opportunity to travel to every state that we currently sell to and work with individual distributors and sales people in their community.Production between our two wineries is around 50,000 cases. Our 150 acre vineyard in Sta. Rita Hills is planted with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Riesling and Grenache. Our main production is in our award winning Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Syrah.Previously I was a buyer and manager for Wendy Foster, a local women's clothing boutique, for 17 years and traveling to Los Angeles and New York several times a year.
