Now, as a Data Engineer at BHP, I specialize in building complex data models to provide easy-to-understand information for downstream consumers.Throughout my Data Engineering career, I've introduced valuable metrics and standardization into our pipelines, ensuring data quality and reliability. Solving critical production issues with timely hotfixes has been a rewarding challenge, and I take pride in building Business Domain Models and metrics to optimize decision-making processes. A recent example of this is my work building out the Recruitment Domain model and a People Common Data Model.In my previous role as a Software Engineer, I improved my skills in Python, a language I still utilize in my current data engineering projects. This background enables me to approach data challenges with a unique perspective and create efficient solutions.What truly sets me apart is my commitment to learning. I am always eager to take on new challenges and expand my skill set. Data Engineer
As a Data Engineer in the mining industry, my role entails orchestrating data pipelines to provide reliable and up to date insights to people at the mine site and to leadership teams. I am responsible for designing and implementing data models, managing and maintaining databases, ensuring data quality, and collaborating effectively with data analysts and other stakeholders. I use advanced tools such as SQL, DBT, Airflow, and Snowflake as well as Github for collaboration and Clickup for sprint management.

As a Software Engineer at Myriota, my primary focus was developing the backend AWS infrastructure that supported the delivery of messages to customers via our API. This involved building cloud infrastructure using AWS and Python, integrating SaaS via APIs, and developing embedded systems using C/C++. In addition to back-end development, I also initiated inhouse UX/UI design and worked closely with the Front End Team and consultants to storyboard, wireframe, and prototype new releases for our dashboard.To support these tasks, I used a range of tools and technologies, including python and AWS to support the API, SQL and Snowflake for database querying, JIRA and Confluence for measuring progress, and Git CLI and web interface for version control. My role required me to work collaboratively with other teams and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software products to customers.Some key contributions included the UI design of notifications on the dashboard, server-side filter/sort capability, enriching the data sent from the modules and integrating Zendesk.
