The Chief Medical Officer of the Pediatric Physicians' Organization at Children's (PPOC) since February 2024, Dr. Michelle Lock most recently served as the network's Metro/North Regional Associate Medical Director.Dr. Lock is proud to be a PPOC member pediatrician since 2012 and has played a key role in PPOC quality improvement throughout her career. She was the inaugural chair of the Clinical Quality and Patient Safety (CQPS) Committee from 2013 to 2023 and served on the Board of Directors from 2014 to 2023. Her professional interests include vaccination confidence, care of the young adult/transition to adult care, and continuous quality improvement.Dr. Lock holds a Bachelor of Arts from Luther College in Decorah, IA and a medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, OR. A general pediatrician in Massachusetts since 2005, Dr. Lock co-founded Commonwealth Pediatrics in 2015 where she serves as Managing Partner and Medical Director and maintains a part-time clinical practice.
