With more than a decade of experience in the secondary education sector, I developed a deep-rooted passion for education and training. Through my previous roles, I have had the opportunity to contribute to the development of the Education Authority advisory support programme, where I played a key role in identifying priorities for training and support for ICT in Post Primary Education. As an educator, I provided training and support to teachers and Education Authority officers on the use of Classroom 2000 hardware and software. Through this experience, I was able to help develop communication, organisational, and teamwork skills among educators. My role also involved problem-solving and liaising with various multi-disciplinary teams within the education sector to deliver technology programs in schools. This was a challenging yet rewarding experience that helped me grow both personally and professionally. One of my key achievements was assisting with the development of effective e-learning strategies using the Southern Education and Library Board VLE and Blackboard. I recognised the need to enhance my skill set in 2020. To keep up with the rapidly changing world of technology, I made a decision to re-engage with education and refresh my skills by studying for an MSc in Professional Software Development.During my MSc, I gained experience in C#, Java, JavaScript, HTML, LINQ, and SQL. I completed my MSc Project program and utilised .NET 7, MVC, Entity Framework Core and Razor for web application development.
