Responsible for preoperative and postoperative care for adult neurosurgical patients in the outpatient setting. Collaboration with physician colleagues for patient care and evaluation of symptoms. Telephone triage of symptoms, ordering studies, coordinating care with other disciplines. See 15-25 patients daily.

Education of patients, families and caregivers for post-surgical care and functional rehabilitation. Symptom management pre- and post-operatively. Coordination of services between medical and radiation oncology. Telephone triage of new symptoms and treatment planning. Completion of disability paperwork and letters of medical necessity. Treated 40-60 patients per day.

Created and implemented protocol for quality of life study amongst population of Stage IV lung cancer patients. Trained and managed two research assistants. Created and maintained statistical database. Produced statistical analyses and reports. Interviewed patients and caregivers for quality of life outcomes.
