Plan, prepare, and develop various teaching aids; discuss assigned duties with classroom teachers in order to coordinate instructional efforts; carry out behavior modification and personal development programs, under the supervision of special education instructors, psychologists, and speech-language pathologists; Provide extra assistance to students with special needs including autism, down syndrome, fetal alcohol syndrome; participate in teacher-parent conferences regarding students’ progress and/or problems; facilitate the integration of the student in the classroom and school environment; observe and support students in learning communication skills and social behaviour and record relevant data to assess progress; facilitated a session at the Coaching to Inclusion conference

Field Placement for Speech & Language Services for a 40 student caseload at the school board. This was a 2-month term through my certification from the Georgian College program. I provided articulation and phonological therapy; documented client's progress through programs; offered a variety of activities within the sessions.
