Social & Innovation Lead, Digital Marketer, Client Director, Editor, Journalist and Presenter with a wealth of experience in varied aspects of media and communications. Determinedly forging a career in media and communications ever since Santa was asked to deliver a Brother typewriter in the early 90s. After completing my studies in 2006 I took up a spot behind the microphone at the fledgling regional youth radio station SPIN South West, co-hosting the evening chart show for two years before moving to a solo slot mid-morning for three years. In this time I also hosted a weekend talk shot, produced and presented several documentaries for the BAI and worked as a freelance journalist for several publications. In 2012 I left SPIN and Limerick to move to Dublin for the launch of Her.ie - The Website for Irish Women. Here, I acted as Editor for the online publication, which is under the Maximum Media group of titles. I led a wonderful team of female journalists, overseeing all editorial on site, liaising with marketing and sales and working with the company MD to bring the brand offline and to maximise our impact in a highly competitive space. I also appear frequently on varied radio and television broadcasts, particularly on national TV station TV3 and national radio station Today FM discussing a wide variety of subjects.In early 2016 I joined the multi award-winning team at Fleishman Hillard Dublin as Social and Digital Manager, promoted to next year the role of Social and Innovation Lead. Here I worked on a variety of exciting clients, including many leading multinational and indigenous companies, as well as a number of not-for-profit organisations and public sector organisations.In early 2021 I made the move back west, taking up a role as Digital Marketing Officer with the central MarComms team at University of Limerick. Here, I'm part of a multiple award-winning Marketing team delivering innovative and impactful content to promote the student experience at UL.
