I’m responsible for creating and implementing the UK DRI’s digital communications strategy to effectively communicate key messaging and research impact from the Institute to a range of internal and external audiences, including researchers, industry professionals, key partners/funders and people affected by neurodegenerative conditions.Duties include:- Providing lead on the development and implementation of digital communications and social media strategies- Digital content generation (graphics, photography, podcasting and video).- Development and management of digital platforms and channels, including the website, intranet, social media, newsletters and Slack- Oversight of UK DRI branding and visual identity- Leadership in digital accessibility and compliance- Providing support on reporting, public affairs, public engagement, patient involvement and crisis communications.

I delivered marketing, student recruitment and conversion activities for UCL Computer Science’s suite of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes (21 in total).Duties and responsibilities include:- creating and executing marketing plans and campaigns- planning and delivering student recruitment events (in-person and online)- managing the department’s student ambassador scheme- developing marketing materials and digital content for the website and social media- updating and developing compelling copy for the prospectus and CRM emails- conducting marketing research- analysing and reporting on the effectiveness of marketing activity.

Based in the UCL Department of Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering, I managed all internal and external communications within UCL's Wellcome / EPSRC Centre for Interventional and Surgical Sciences (WEISS). This included managing the website, being the brand guardian, writing news items & press releases on academic research, producing the monthly newsletter and managing the social media channels. I also worked closely with the Public Engagement team to support and promote their events and activities. This was a fixed-term contract.

I managed a team of six teachers to ensure the effective delivery of the BTEC Creative Media courses. I taught a range of modules focusing on film & TV production techniques, film editing, photography, print & graphic design, and marketing. This also included securing a move to a new BTEC qualification.

I taught theory and practical media modules, including film and media marketing. The practical modules focused on teaching Photoshop, InDesign, and Premiere from the Adobe Creative Suite. I supported students in making music videos, stop-motion animations, documentaries, short films, podcasts, and magazines.

I devised and oversaw a complete transformation in the digital and marketing strategy of the Trust's three schools. This included project managing the redesign of all three schools’ websites from planning to launch and overseeing the successful rebranding of all marketing material and events. General duties included management of the websites, social media, press, marketing material, and promotional events such as the Open Days across the Trust.

Alongside teaching Media and Film Studies, I led IT BTEC modules from January 2015 to September 2017, including web design, digital marketing and animation.

Alongside teaching full-time, I organised and led volunteer trips abroad for first-year students. Destinations included Vietnam, India, and Iceland.

This role required me to undertake a complete rebranding of the College and the development and execution of a new marketing strategy. This led to the launch of a new website for the College, plus all-new marketing, communications materials, and events. Other duties included liaising with press; managing social media channels; producing all promotional material, including the prospectus; designing and production of the newsletter; managing the marketing budget; and liaising with local schools. Organising promotional events for parents and prospective students was also vital to this role. I also introduced the concept of College Ambassadors, using students to champion the College at promotional events. (I undertook this role alongside 15 hours of teaching).

Alongside teaching full-time, I was part of a team that led student expeditions to places including the Atlas Mountains in Morocco, the French/Spanish Pyrenees and Nepal.

Alongside teaching full-time, I coordinated numerous events and activities for students with the assistance of the Student Union.

As well as teaching full-time, I was responsible for the day-to-day running of AS Film Studies. Duties included exam board correspondence, developing schemes of work, coordination of three members of staff, trips and events.

I was responsible for the day-to-day running of the MSc in Psychoanalytic Developmental Psychology. UCL accredited the course. I helped to recruit and promote the MSc course internationally.
