• Manage four Total Waste Management (TWM) contracts, including vendors, budget, and implementing annual contract cost reductions.• Conduct RCRA inspections, waste sampling and training; implementation of pollution prevention/waste reduction activities• Manage hazmat technician and emergency response activities onsite for customer, along with industrial service projects.

• Responsible for maintaining environmental compliance and all reporting, including air, wastewater, waste, tanks, chemicals• Work closely with Safety Department relating to chemical safety, training, labeling and participating in Corporate Safety audits• Maintain and manage all aspects of ISO 14001 program including external audits, training, system maintenance• Develop and conduct DOT hazardous materials training, RCRA, emergency response training.• Serve as Incident Commander; test and maintain all emergency plans, including coordinating full-scale evacuation drills • Manage chemical and metallurgical laboratory, Total Waste Management and Total Chemical Management programs and unionized personnel.• Responsible for waste and chemical management budget of approximately $4.5 million, with continuous improvement year over year. o In 2008, the chemical management program achieved a 20% chemical usage reduction, equating to a $500,000 cost savings.
