Maintain a $1,000,000 deductible and self-insured retention workers’ compensation program for (19) plants in North AmericaResponsible for administering all aspects of the region’s workers’ compensation program, including contract and claim management; data tracking, reporting and analysis; and state filing and reporting requirements.Provide administrative, technical and compliance support regarding workers’ compensation to the EHS, HR, finance, and global risk management departments.Interface with area directors and plant leadership on EHS issues through regular communicationProficient in the compliance requirements of EHS regulations for providing consistent and uniform guidance associated with compliance actions and best practices related to site EHS activitiesDrive EHS culture change through leading by example, coaching, mentoring, and engaging people at all levelsHelps facilities identify where they must improve or could benefit from improving their EHS performanceAssist sites with developing and implementing EHS improvement plansCoach and mentor plant leadership in identifying hazards and the proper interaction with employees to discuss safety behavior (Tell Me process)Create and communicate internal EHS policies, procedures and guidelines through engaging regional and site EHS personnelAct as a subject matter expert and advisor in assigned technical areas (perform requirements review, data collection, analysis, conclusions and provide recommendations as appropriate)Participates in incident investigation, RCCA, safety alert development and communicationLeads and/or supports investigation and response to environmental releases and incidentsAssist in the development of site personnel responsible for EHS activitiesSpend time in the field on assignment at site locationsConducts training activities on site as needed
