My teaching career began at Damelin Eden College in 2000, where I taught Business Studies and Accounting. During those foundational years, I had the privilege to work closely with experienced teachers, Esti Meyer and Maria Christelis, who mentored me and imparted invaluable insights to help me become an effective educator.While teaching at Damelin, I expanded my skills and experience by working for the Independent Examinations Board (IEB) as a senior marker for matric examinations, an examiner of ABET and Continuous Assessment Task for Economic and Management Sciences, and a Regional Moderator of School-Based Assessments. Contributing to the maintenance of educational standards adding value to my teaching and was greatly rewarding.In 2009, I joined King David High school seeking further growth in my career as a teacher. In past 13 years, at King David High School, I have taken on the role of Head of Department of Business Studies, pastoral and senior management role as a Director, Manager of Debating and Head of the Arts and Culture Committee which are both vital components of our school. My journey as an educator has taught that providing a nurturing and inclusive environment empowers students to excel academically and grow into well-rounded individuals. I enjoy collaborating with fellow educators, and individuals who share a commitment to education and cultural enrichment.
