Helping people to believe in themselves and reach their potential.'I can't' is often a phrase I heard and said -'we can' is the encouragement and support I received and now pass on.I left school without a qualification or real purpose- I worked in the catering industry for 5 years. I always had a passion for helping people when I saw a job advertised in a local charity which was close to my heart and became employed as a support worker, working with complex needs and addiction. I worked with HARP for six years, for five of these years I managed a lottery funded project for entrenched rough sleepers many with dual diagnosis and complex needs- we built a project which included fundraising, outreach, a breakfast drop-in, housing, referral, harm minimisation, key working, groups, education, training, volunteering and supporting people through their individual journey until they were reintegrated back into society and could live independent, happy and fulfilled lives. I then worked in a private residential rehab coordinating the HCA's and supporting with groups and helping with the day to day running of the service.
