With 20 years of senior executive leadership experience in both the NGO and commercial sectors, Michelle has consistently championed the advancement of gender equality. Michelle has extensive international and local business experience in national strategy, change management, community engagement, funding, and commercial partnerships.Michelle is currently the Group CEO of YWCA Australia where she has overseen a national merger and re-focused the strategy to make women’s housing the priority for gender equality in Australia. This includes delivering significant operational restructuring, building a strong housing portfolio and developing a sector first gendered housing solution in our Women’s Housing Framework. Michelle previously worked in sports management including being the first female CEO of a men’s professional A-League team football team in Australia and she established the national women's football league. Michelle is well known for her visionary leadership and track record of taking organisations through significant change. Michelle is also a Board Director of PowerHousing Australia and a member of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games- Sunshine Coast 2032 Legacy Plan Community Reference Group.
