Manage a team of professionals in warehousing, transportation, procurement, and inventory functions, across two facilities

The purpose of this position is to manage the planning and execution of production at contract manufacturing sites to support Product Supply forecasting and market demands for North America and 12-17 Export Countries. This position is key for alignment between contract manufacturing, procurement, demand planning, label graphics, exports team, and master data to ensure visible production plans, on-time delivery of dependent materials, fluid material flow, and on-time startups for manufacturing campaigns. Additionally this position is responsible for inventory management for all contract manufacturing operations to ensure appropriate inventory levels in support of working capital goals ranging from $45M-$60M in inert and packaging purchasing.

Lead the Import Operations team, comprised of 5 Logistics professionals, in maintaining a high level of service to internal and external customs, minimize customs clearance time and facilitate uninterrupted supply of raw materials to manufacturing sites. Interpret and remain current on regulations regarding international transportation, EPA and US Customs clearing. Successful, timely importation of materials ensures no disruptions to the manufacturing supply chain and production schedule.

Primary responsibilities include managing Bayer CropScience imports from multiple countries, evaluating customs documentation to ensure accurate 7501/3461 entry information. Verify SAP information regarding all shipments and update delivery information to ensure other teams have accurate information for production schedules and demand planning. Knowledge includes NOA submissions, R&D valuation and classification, product management to the FTZ in Kansas City from multiple POE. Communicate with our brokers on a daily basis regarding DOT information, entry packets, NOA and FDA/USDA information, as well as coordinate with our 3PL or trucking companies to ensure timely delivery of products. Additionally, support team members on various occasions to ensure timely delivery of products to stake holders.

Manage all logistic inbound product flow for both bulk product and special event production; accountable for Import Compliance Program, using HTS codes classified all product imported into the USA, inbound logistics and Corporate Responsibility Program. Compiled documentation for exported product. Responsible for reviewing all contracts for international freight and brokerage on an annual basis and proposing new possible solutions for freight savings. Organize and execute on all event orders and salesman samples distribution to meet event deadlines both domestically and internationally. Work closely with the design team to keep production cost down on samples and review needs for expediting shipping to meet season open dates.

Responsible for the movement of merchandise and/or material in/out of the country in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Monitors and completes paperwork and monetary transactions associated with international distribution in a timely manner. Communicates regularly with accounts payable and account receivables to solve discrepancies in the accounts. Responsible for 12 clients, including our firms largest client Generac Power Systems, key point of contact for all products ordered from overseas with sole accountability of ensuring sufficient inventory is in place at all five plants in Wisconsin. Additionally responsible for all software updates and the liaison for our software provider.

Responsible for directly managing and coordinating student staff and directing full and Part-Time building service workers. Responsible for security, guest comfort and events coordination within the 300,000 square foot facility. For all events either private, corporate, non-for-profit events and all university events my responsibilities included but was not limited to: Communication with clients to clarify and finalize event requirements, manage event files on EMS program from contract execution through production, coordinate and process deposits and payments associated with events, order services and materials required for events, submit and track check requests, maintain and finalize event production requirements for set up personnel. Research labor, tax and distribution laws for new entrants into the Buenos Aires area, making sure all part of the Market Entry plan will be legal and competitive. Assisted in all operations of University Housing summer conferencing service.
