Provide overall direction to Public Safety Services which includes the Divisions of Business Support, Criminal Justice Information Services, Information Technology Services and Professionalism. Make major policy, organizational, legislative, and program decisions and recommendations to maintain and improve Departmental operations and programs.

Direct the overall operations of the Offices of Human Resources, Financial Management, Budget, Criminal Justice Grants, and General Services, to include the development of general procedures and responsibilities in order to ensure full compliance with Department policy, applicable state and federal laws, etc.

Provide overall management and direction to the Office of Human Resources, and the Bureaus of Staff Development and Training; Research and Data Analysis; and Policy Management and Inmate Appeals. Coordinate with executive staff on strategic planning, policy development, and monitoring of program responsibilities to ensure the Department continually meets its mission.

Direct strategic planning, policy development and implementation, and monitoring of Investigations and Forensic Science Program responsibilities. Development of implementation strategies for new programs and initiatives; review and assessment of investigative and forensic resources; development, revision and update of policies and procedures; research and analysis of legislation; development of LBRs; and collaboration with Regional Directors to ensure consistent implementation of best practices across all regions.
