Grant Proposal Coordinator
I am part of a very exciting and rewarding project at Penn State. We are developing a birth - five degree program for those already working in the early childhood field. This program will be an "out of the box" idea for the University and the College of Education as it is offering several paths for adult learners to return to school and obtain a degree such has portfolio development, credits for past experience , online learning, a new mentorship program and some new partnerships across the state. This type of educational offering will help the child care field to increase its high quality programming and staff. It will be a benefit for people beyond the students and the university. I have conducted and organized all the of initial research on the project. I am writing the new proposal requesting additional funds and collaborating with Subject Matter Experts as we move to the next phase of the production - developing the courses. It has been exciting to work with people across the state as we discuss the potential impact of this new program.
