With 20 years of experience in customer services, mostly within contact centres at both customer facing and mid-management levels I have developed and incredible wealth of knowledge. From adaptability in customer facing situations, to identifying trends, customer demands and needs to performance management and personnel issues. Throughout my experience I have shown a flair for complaints and customer satisfaction and this drives me to seek a continuous improvement to customer experience. While the majority of my experience has come from the financial sector I have now moved into the social housing industry and I have grown a huge passion for this and feel a real belonging within the industry. I feel empowered by knowing what I do makes a real difference to peoples lives and this has seen me go from strength to strength and be noticed for all the right reasons in a relatively short space of time. This combined with my transferable skills from other industries I believe can see me on a truly exciting career path where I thrive as well as feeding my passion to really make a difference. Outside of my job I am very involved with Maggie's Newcastle, a centre that provides support services to those living with cancer and their families. It is a charity which is incredibly close to my heart. During the time I have known of Maggie's I have been honoured to have been used to speak to The Sun Online and Radio 4's Listening Project to raise the profile of the centres which are now national and overseas.
