My department management chops developed while working for one of Canada’s 50 Best Managed companies. The company’s Human Resources badass recognized my abilities and encouraged me to study HR officially. Cut to more than just a few years later and I’m a graduate of Human Resources Management from Simon Fraser University who took a quick detour to explore nutrition and became a Certified Holistic Nutritionist. Both specialties allow me to help people. Being of service is my purpose. Oh and I like learning. A lot! I have just shy of 15 years working in the retail health and wellness industry where regardless of the role, manager or nutritionist, I’m always the coach, steward and facilitator. I’ve supported my 25 member team through renovations and systems changes and I’ve educated countless clients on good, better and best food and supplement choices. Servant leadership is my management style and I care about creating healthy people who are engaged in doing their best work. I’m mindful, empathetic and committed to honesty, integrity and doing what’s right. I’m well versed at solving problems, change and perseverance.
