Provide school based Occupational Therapy services to students in Preschool through High School. Promote student success through use of Assistive Technology.

• Responsible for providing School based Occupational Therapy evaluations and services to students in Kindergarten – 8th grade in general education and self-contained settings. • Actively participate in Case Conferences and contribute to Individualized Education Plans, Functional Behavior Plans, and Behavior Intervention Plans and maintain all Occupational Therapy documentation. • Developed an Assistive Technology Assessment Program and lead the Assistive Technology Process to support students with writing and reading difficulties.• Established a Sensory Room and Sensory Room protocol to proactively provide students with Sensory strategies to support their education.• Support Life Skills and Emotional Disability self-contained classrooms through consultative and direct services.

School Occupational Therapist helping students in Kg-6th grade and High School with a diverse range of disabilities reach their fullest potential through direct and indirect Occupational Therapy services, use of assistive technology and environmental modifications, and collaboration with teachers, educational staff, and family to support and help implement special education programs. Perform Occupational Therapy evaluations and contribute to IEPs, FBAs and BIPs and actively participate in conferences. Member of building and district wide Autism Team responsible for providing support to students with autism and their educational staff and creating and distributing educational information to teachers about Autism and best practices and to students through autism awareness activities. Member of Assistive Technology Team and Academy providing training and support to elementary school buildings for Assistive Technology program for students with written expression and/or reading difficulties.
