I'm a 20+ year veteran elementary educator dedicated to helping others find the joy in teaching--because confident, happy educators are the key to inspiring confident and successful students! I want others to love this profession as much as I do...and I wouldn't dream of doing anything else!Through 1:1 virtual coaching, I help teachers and school leaders implement best instructional practices in literacy, as I stay very current in the latest research findings. I'm in classrooms every day, working alongside teachers, helping students grow. There is nothing more rewarding than working together with fellow educators to meet students' needs, keeping motivation and engagement high, while also distilling the work down to its most important elements. I keep things simple, where impactful student learning, not cutesy fluff, is at the forefront. This is the recipe that leads to maximum student success and reduced teacher overwhelm. My 15 years of classroom experience include: -Kindergarten -First Grade -Second Grade -Fourth Grade -Lead Teacher -Teaching in 4 different states -Opened 2 new buildings -Looped twiceMy next role was a literacy interventionist, K-5 for 5 years, and am now in my dream position as literacy coach. I get the best of both worlds here--to be with kids in classrooms every single day AND to partner with teachers, as together we dig into best practices for literacy instruction.
