As a passionate public health professional, I am dedicated to promoting health and well-being and addressing existing health disparities. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Public Health Science from the University of Maryland, graduating cum laude, with minors in Disabilities Studies and Sustainability. Currently, as an Adolescent Health Promoter with the Peace Corps in Guyana, I collaborate with a school to deliver health education and coordinate youth sports teams, fostering both physical activity and community engagement. I’ve also directed large-scale community projects, including organizing a two-day Camp GLOW/BRO event and leading a world map mural project with students and staff. In Guyana, I've learned to be adaptable and communicate across cultures to complete projects.Previously, my role as a Trip Leader with the University of Maryland Adventure Program allowed me to explore my passion for outdoor education and environmental stewardship. I led multi-day trips encouraging participants to grow and challenge themselves through adventure. In addition to my professional work, I am committed to giving back to the community. I’ve held leadership and volunteer roles in organizations like Terps for Change, where I oversaw service projects ranging from environmental beautification to client support at non-profit warehouses.
