Selected ProjectsHelping Hand 58th Street Home, Countryside, IL (unbuilt)-New construction of a 16 bed ICFDD to house 16 individuals with developmental disabilities. Renaissance Apartments, Chicago, IL-Renovation of 117 dwelling units in six vintage buildings of affordable family housing.

- Taught (3) class segment in Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Course "ENER 552 - Design of Energy Efficient Buildings" in Winter Semester, focused on LEED Design Principles, Accreditation, and Building Certification

-Assisted Professor Mick Kennedy in production of architectural schematic design package that included site strategy proposals for a cohesive campus environment between the existing medical school and the prospective dental school in addition to building design options that would provide a physical, visual, and symbolic identity for the college of dentistry.-Collaborated with University of Michigan School of Dentistry team to explore possibilities for the first college of dentistry in Liberia as an extension of the University of Liberia in Monrovia.-Assisted dental school team with definition of the college’s programming needs and opportunities.-Researched and proposed sustainable design practices of material use, labor, energy, and water use with the goal of providing a model for sustainable building practices in West Africa.

-Assisted Professor Coleman Jordan with various design and presentation projects:-Senegal Art Center: researched indigenous materials and construction methods, produced dimensioned drawings for construction, and assisted in design work.-Harlem Speak: gathered site information and proposed design solutions for megaphone installation and public speaking space in Marcus Garvey Park in Harlem.

-Responsible for project coordination of new 35,000 square foot retail buildings including design development, documentation, and construction administration phases. Coordinated directly with engineers, architects of record, developers, contractors, and store planners in order to create cohesive and efficient design through construction process.-Produced detailed design documents, presentation drawings, 3d models, renderings, and physical models.-Researched and developed new materials to utilize in store design.-Assisted project architect with schematic design.
