Toronto Wildlife Centre promotes the peaceful coexistence of people and wildlife by providing education and expert advice about wildlife situations, and providing medical care to sick, injured and orphaned wild animals with the ultimate goal of releasing healthy animals back into the wild.- Helped provide safe handling and restraint of 1500+ Ontario's wild animals (native birds, mammals, reptiles, and amphibians)- Prepared specialized diets and tube/hand-fed patients- Assembled, cleaned, and maintained enclosures of wild patients- Administered oral medications and subcutaneous/inguinal injections- Learned about basic species identification, behaviour, and all aspects of wildlife care in a wide range of species
