Assist public and private social enterprises in measuring and increasing impact through innovative and right-fit methods.-As a member of MCC’s Gender and Social Inclusion team, collaborated with economists to assist Ethiopian and Mozambican governments in designing compact programs that achieve economic growth, while addressing gender and other social inequalities -Led geographically disbursed team of four to conduct gender and youth impact assessment of 24 projects across four technical sectors for USAID Tanzania-Collected and synthesized data from multiple pillar bureaus and offices, as well as 35 African missions, to produce innovative knowledge management product for USAID Africa/SD/EGEA, which resulted in coherent visual representation of staff, budget, strategy, and impact data for economic growth programs in 35 African countries-Conducted assessment of gender-based violence and sexual exploitation risks to World Bank-funded infrastructure projects in Nigeria and recommended mitigation strategies

-Serving as inaugural Evidence-in-Policy fellow at Center for Global Development and advising the State Department's Director of Office of Foreign Assistance on strategies to improve evidence use.-Led strategic-level monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) efforts to support Global Fragility Act implementation. Provide technical expertise to Secretariat, interagency MEL Team, and GFA priority countries in development of global-level objectives, metrics, and evaluation methods. Co-facilitate workshops/presentations with Secretariat, GFA senior leadership (assistant-secretary level), interagency (DoS, USAID, DOD/DSCA) and civil society to develop and build understanding of and consensus on GFA MEL tools/processes.-Leading thought leadership to promote Director’s vision of strategic MEL that assesses results at the strategic and portfolio level. -Brief senior leadership and internal and external stakeholders.

-Collaborated with 12 USG agencies to design Prosper Africa’s Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Plan. -Managed and conducted interagency data calls to collect data on closed trade and investment deals between the US and Africa.- Collaborated with deal team to organize and clean data to prepare for transition to Salesforce.-Created innovative data visualization dashboards of pipeline and closed deal data to facilitate real-time monitoring, analysis,and reporting.-Analyzed and visualized third-party US/Africa trade and investment datasets to extract actionable insights for Initiative leadership.-Partnered with and trained cross-functional partners (Communications, Policy, Transaction Advisory) to leverage data to advance organizational goals.-Briefed interagency leadership on MEL methods and data.

Research and write articles analyzing the strategy and impact of global development philanthropy for digital media startup

Managed and executed all functions of quick-turnaround, 10 week, in-country gender assessments in Malawi and Tanzania for Department of State’s Office of Global Women’s Issues/USAID: vetting of local consultants; project and budget management; secondary literature review and creation of interview protocols; field research; data analysis and report writing; client delivery and presentations. Purpose is to guide implementation of Let Girls Learn and the U.S. Strategy to Prevent and Respond to GBV.

--Member of Sociocultural Development Center which used quantitative and qualitative social science methods to advance global missions of federal government clients--Designed and conducted outcome assessments of Special Operations Command Africa’s counterterrorism operations in Northwest Africa, Sahel, and East Africa--Designed strategic foresight and trends scanning methodology to guide strategic planning for Special Operations Command Europe --Assisted Department of Veterans Affairs in measuring and integrating Native American preferences into US government’s burial policies and practices--Assisted with recruitment and onboarding of new team members--Received High 5 and Performance and Team Reward in 2013 for outstanding client presentation and delivery.

Provided political risk analysis on Sub-Saharan Africa to financial and media clients. Freelance researcher for The Economist Intelligence Unit's African Green Cities Index, published in 2011.

-- Researched and wrote advocacy briefs, reports, opinion pieces, book reviews, and other articles to lobby for the global adoption of transparency and human rights standards in the extractive sector, including Dodd-Frank and EITI standards.-- Cultivated relationships with stakeholders and strategic partners, including oil, gas, and mining executives, senior government officials, journalists, scholars, and activists.-- Spearheaded fundraising through writing and editing of successful $2 million grant proposal to the Gates Foundation for oil revenue monitoring project in Bayelsa, Nigeria.
