A terrific role indeed, however, as a rdh coach one can assume a larger role towards educating and sharing knowledge vs. strictly fact finding. As an assessor, I had a strong foundation of the a-z of portfolios and even in writing my own portfolio there were challenges I was facing with my experience and background knowledge, to what level were my peer rdh understanding the purpose and method to a professional portfolio? Being a dental assistant was an enriching part of my career. As a dental assistant at Dr. Plotzke & Dr. Payne I was a chairside assistant, with responsibilities in infection control, product inventory and ordering, operating room assistant at St. Josephs Hospital, etc. The greatest part of this position was the individuals I worked with that shared their skills, patience and loving kind hearts with so many adorable children. I am forever greatful for this position.
