Michelle Stofan, co-owner, vice-president and legal advisor for Garner Products, Inc. has been working alongside her husband, Ron Stofan, to grow their California manufacturing company into an international supplier of efficient, fast, and reliable hard drive degaussers and physical destroyers.Michelle is an active member of the California State Bar, an appointed member by the US Secretary of Commerce to the Northern California District Export Council (DEC), a board member of the Sacramento Valley Manufacturing Alliance (SVMA), and an advisory member of the Northern California World Trade Association. Michelle is actively involved in outreach programs with local high schools, junior colleges, and local government agencies to pursue advancements in academic workforce training to better support manufacturing.Michelle empowers Garner’s teams who design, engineer, mill, assemble and sell Garner’s products at its production facilities in Roseville, California. Garner’s products are shipped to customers around the world through a network of domestic dealers and international distributors.In 2019, U.S. Secretary of Commerce, Wilber Ross, presented Michelle and Ron with the President’s “E” Award for Exports at a ceremony in Washington, D.C. The President’s “E” Award is the highest recognition that any United States entity can receive for its ongoing significant contributions to the expansion of U. S. exports. Garner was recognized for its accomplishments of exporting equipment into over 100 countries and establishing distributorships in the United Kingdom, Japan, India, Israel, Singapore, Australia, and Canada.Michelle holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of California Berkeley and a Juris Doctorate from McGeorge School of Law.
