Working at Bluemercury was a great experience! I learned how to run a small boutique. For 4 of the 9 months, we were without a Store Manager, which left 4 employees including myself, to run the store. At this job, my duties were as follows.Opening and closing store.Shipping and receiving through UPS.Inventory Maintaining an efficient pristine store.Meeting and exceeding sales goals.Building business through strong client relationships.Makeup applications.My reason for leaving Bluemercury after only 9 months, is that I was recruited by a past coworker who worked at Ulta Beauty. The opportunity was too good to pass up!

After taking a break from full-time retail to start a family, I decided to take a position as a part-time Clinique Beauty adviser. I really enjoyed working at Lord &Taylor. Working part-time day hours, I was able to build a great clientele. I always exceeded my goal and presell goals during our GWP. As a former Counter Manager, I helped train new Counter Managers as needed. I left only because the commute was starting to take its toll. So I took a break and freelanced for a bit until a position opened at the Macy’s closer to home.
