Specialist role with the nationally funded Boosting the Local Care Workforce Program.

• Worked in partnership with industry to develop the Queensland Production Horticulture Workforce Development Plan (2013 - 2015).• Coordinate Growcom's Women in Horticulture Program, which includes training workshops, a quarterly newsletter and a dedicated Facebook page. • Project manage the production horticulture Women in Agribusiness project, which receives financial support through the National Workforce Development Fund.• Analyse industry training needs and identify and develop opportunities to support growers through funding and the provision of relevant training.• Work with relevant education stakeholders to provide students, teachers and career advisors with information on career pathways.• Consult with industry and work with Agrifood Skills Australia to continuously improve the training offerings to industry. • Produce a bi-monthly newsletter, $marter Business, aimed at keeping industry informed about the latest training and funding opportunities, workshops, workforce development case studies and research.• Work with Growcom’s Advocacy and Policy Unit to enhance policy development and advocacy at the State and National levels.Committees / Memberships:• Member of Minister McVeigh's Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry Skills Industry Advisory Group, which provides advice on key issues facing agriculture workforce development in Queensland.• Facilitate the Queensland Production Workforce Development Team Steering Committee and State Industry, Education and Training Committee to progress actions outlined in the Workforce Plan.• Facilitate the NWDF Women in Agribusiness Steering Group Committee.• Member of the Agrifood Skills Rural and Related Industries Standing Committee.
