substitute teacher's aid

I started as a work-study student and eventually took over the Adaptive Technology Department. In the 13 years there I held many duties and responsibilities. I was honored to collaborate with students and professors about how we could utilize assistive technology to reduce/remove barriers in the educational environment. I was in charge of tracking and converting texts to alternative format including braille. I aided in the process of creating an accessible math course for our students with visual impairments. I also tracked videos for closed captioning, coordinated, scheduled and billed for ASL interpreters, trained students and faculty on how to use assistive technology software. Lead a team of work-study students training them to add captions and convert texts for use with screen reading and for embossing. Worked with multiple departments to ensure campus and classroom accessibility. Participated in faculty trainings about digital accessibility. Covered the Technology services help desk line.
