In my current role as CEO with Ag Energy Cooperative (AEC) I am responsible for the overall success of the organization working closely with all members of the organization to ensure the Mission and Vision are enacted. As the Director of the Sales team, growth of the organization and innovative solutions for our members is the key goal. I oversee the Operations of both the natural gas and electricity commodities as well as ensure member and customer satisfaction. My contributions to the strategic direction as well as aiding in the implementation of the plan are key components of my duties as part of the Leadership team. As a Certified Association Executive, with over 25 years energy experience the customer and/or Member remains my main priority. My experience with strategic planning and sales innovations will be a key contributor to our success. Strong interpersonal and team dynamics are one of the pillars of cooperatives and AEC. I stand behind the people with support and encouragement. Energy emissions requirements have been a new opportunity for increased value to our members as we have created and currently provide in house expertise to ensure compliance within the Federal and Provincials programs. I have been intimated involved with the cooperative sectors as a Board Member of Ontario Cooperative Association (OCA) previously holding the Vice President and Chair of the Government Relations, Chair of the Nominating Committee as well as Chair Human Resources committees. I continue to offer my HR experience at OCA as a volunteer in the HR Committee. I am the President of the St Vincent de Paul Conference for St.Patrick’s church. The volunteer organization have approximately 25 volunteers aiding over 300 families each year. I am Secretary for the St Vincent de Paul Particular Council in Cambridge and sit in the conference representing the St Patrick’s SVDP conference. Prior to my energy roles I performed functions in the finance area including Human Resources, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit and collection, inventory control, costing and general ledger. From the finance expertise gained in my early career I offer sound management. As a trained ISO 9000 certified auditor consistent improvement and processes are additional insights I provide. A H&S return to work program I created and implemented reduced costs to the facility of 32%. A profiling hiring process lead to 100% successful hires.
