Strategic planning, program design, partnership and resource development in support of students, staff and families

The Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders is a unique all-girls public school founded to educate young women and give them the confidence and skills necessary to succeed in college, in their careers, and in their communities. Located in Austin, Texas, the Ann Richards School serves 6th through 12th grades. The school is made possible by a unique public-private partnership between the Austin Independent School District, the Foundation for the Education of Young Women, and the Ann Richards School Foundation. As Executive Director of the Foundation, I led strategic planning, fundraising and community awareness efforts to develop sustainable support for the school.

Led United Way in developing funding and volunteer processes for creating community change. Led investment process, recruited and managed leadership volunteers, facilitated community collaborations, managed department staff and budget.

Recruited, trained, and managed volunteers to participate in community investment process; Provided technical assistance to nonprofits with program evaluation; Built relationships with nonprofits, community groups and coalitions; Negotiated and managed agency contracts and performance reporting

Provided individual, group and family counseling to address needs of juvenile offenders in foster care; Trained and supported foster parents in their care of juvenile offenders and abused children; Performed crisis intervention including 24-hour on-call service; Advocated for clients in school, juvenile justice systems
