Work autonomously in providing services for acute illnesses, sports and DOT physicals, vaccinations for ages 18 months and older, monitor some chronic illnesses such as hypertension, diabetes, and wellness coaching. • Conduct accurate physical assessments, perform and interpret diagnostic tests and treat a variety of common conditions; provide screenings, interventions, counseling, and prescribe medications as needed to patients. DOT Examiner.• Proficient in strep, influenza, mono, Adenoplus, pregnancy, urinalysis, lipid, glucose and Hba1c testing.• Consult with patients regarding lab results and recommend appropriate treatment options. • Manage the clinic’s inventory and order supplies to maintain cost effective clinical operations.• Accurately document patient information on visit history, referrals, and lab work, using Electronic Medical Records Legacy and Epic.• Accurately perform a variety of administrative procedures including processing insurance payments, maintain office equipment and trouble shoot issues as they arise.• Mentor and train new providers and NP students; responsible for holiday scheduling of 40 providers in 16 clinics. • One of four state Clinical Resource Providers who are available to colleagues for clinical consultations and case reviews.
