I worked in MOCORE Lab through the Innovation & Entrepreneur Summer Scholars Research Program. I collaborated with a team to improve wheelchair-bound patients’ confidence and balance by developing a wearable haptic biofeedback system consisting of Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) sensors, vibration motors, and a virtual reality (VR) interface that monitors and trains seated balance. This consisted of coding the vibration motors to provide feedback when the patient's torso angle exceeds a predefined range of accepted balance using Arduino, and creating the virtual environment and training exercise using Unity. I also analyzed the market potential for this product and attended weekly workshops regarding commercialization of the product. Communicating with my team was a major aspect of this research and we presented our progress and discussed ideas weekly.

- Worked to improve Stevens STARS rating from gold to platinum by developing the scorecard for the 2023 submission- Facilitated outreach and arranged meetings with Stevens staff and organizations to develop sustainability-focused programs to increase on-campus engagement in sustainability- Created agendas for weekly team meetings and presented progress and ideas

- Greeted guests and bussed tables quickly to ensure that new customers could be promptly seated - Answered the telephone in a polite and professional manner when taking reservations and pick-up/delivery orders, and accurately handled cash and credit transactions at the register - Answered guests’ questions and made recommendations about items on the menu, and accurately took food/drink orders, while accommodating customers’ needs to promote a satisfactory dining experience - Carefully followed health and safety regulations when serving food and preparing desserts to ensure the wellness of guests- Restocked condiments as needed, swept, vacuumed, and wiped down surfaces and supplies in both the front-of-house and back-of-house
